By Andrew Hoxha When you first start watching the video, you see that it is a school concert that many schools from around the country hold on an annual basis. The choir is singing and it’s obvious they have rehearsed for the moment, but the moment is about to get better.
When the video starts, they celebrate Christmas by singing Celebrate the Season, and everyone in attendance seems to be enjoying it. It may have been a nice occasion, but it was about to turn into something emotional in a way that nobody in attendance would forget.
When they finish the song, a teacher comes out to the stage and begins speaking about Christmas traditions and how important it is to have the children home for the holidays. She then reveals what is really taking place and explains that one of the choir members has been missing her mother for more than a year because she was serving in Africa.
That is when the camera focuses on one girl in the choir and it is obvious that she doesn’t know what is happening at first. Suddenly, she realizes that her mother is there and tears start flowing immediately. She runs across the stage and right into her mother’s arms.
This is one of those reunion videos that will stick with you for a very long time. It is a beautiful moment, and one we are so thankful they shared.
