It was in 2009 that Susan Boyle got on Britain’s Got Talent and she showed the world just how much talent she had. Up until that time, she had been living in Blackburn, Scotland taking care of her older mother and living a modest lifestyle.

Boyle didn’t look like someone that you would see on the stage of one of the television talent shows. She had been laughed at to an extent because of her age and appearance, but she had always dreamed about becoming a professional singer. When on BGT, she performed: ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ and she was instantly transformed into a worldwide sensation.

Not only did she have a voice that allowed her to become famous, she also showed that she had humility and a genuine quality that would make her popular among the masses. When her debut album came out, it went to the top of the charts in many countries.

In addition to singing on Britain’s Got Talent, she had always dreamed of singing with a musical theater icon, Elaine Paige. This also became a reality when she performed with her in December 2009. You can see it below:
